Mariann Budde, Episcopalian Bishop of Washington D.C.

One day after the presidential Inauguration, on January 21st, 2025 a National Prayer Service was held at the National Cathedral in Washington. . .

The Episcopalian Bishop Mariann Budde addressed the new president.

In a voice filled with conviction and human compassion she advised:

"In the name of our God,

I ask you to have mercy

upon the people in our country …..”

Leaders like Bishop Budde inspire courage and humanity to steady us in our daily lives.

At present many fundamental systems of justice, care, and truth are being eroded. Together we can help maintain and improve the common dignities everyone in our country deserves with great deeds but also simple actions.
